Song of Roosevelt Ave.
Song of Roosevelt Ave. is a meditation on Queens, New York -- home to over one million foreign-born immigrants and arguably the most diverse place in the world. Stretching over sixty blocks, Roosevelt Ave. is at the center this global crossroads, a place where new immigrants often get their start in the informal economy as street vendors, day laborers, and can-collectors. The film tells the stories of three immigrants whose lives intersect with Roosevelt Avenue and examines the difficulties they face as they begin their American journey.
